Good as vintage.
Because of the old and used item,
the products may have a rust and damages.
I cleaned and sharpened up this knife by using whetstone.
And now I'm satisfied with the blade condition.
The blade is enough sharp to use normally though.
I have tested the blade by cutting test paper after sharpened.
There may be some stain,
rust or damage.ツ

[ General information ] SASHIMI BOUCHO (BOUCHO is as same as HOUCHO = Japanese knife)ツis one of the traditional Japanese HOCHO.
It Is a type of long,
thin knife used in Japanese cuisine to prepare sashimi (sliced raw fish or other seafood).
There are 3 types of SASHIMI BOCHO existing,
from east side of Japan,
TAKOHIKI which has squared edge.
From west side of Japan,
YANAGIBA which has a pointed edge.And FUGUHIKI which has thinner blade than YANAGIBA and the shape is a little bit different from YANAGIBA.
For home use,
the blade length is 18 to 24 cm is fine.
For professionals,
27 to 33 cm is suitable.
The history started at least before the EDO era but no detailed evidence is there.
